Ideas

If you're reading this, you either love delver or really want it. I want, with the help of anyone reading this, to brainstorm a decent amount of ideas for delver and then see if the devs put it into the upcoming updates. Here's what I got:

-Improved A.I.

-Control settings

-Easier(and more sensiable) inventory management

Reply your ideas!

I think that this game needs custum sounds for each mob.  Bones sounds for skelletons, moaning for zombies, slimey sounds for slims, cakling for goblins, etc.

About your ideas.  I think that the A.I. is actually halfway decent, but I suppose a slight A.I. improvement wouldn't be too much to ask for.  I pretty sure that we already have options to invert the mouse, and gamepad control will be realesed int he next stable update.  Its coming soon and I know this because I am one of the selected testers for the new update.  I don't quite know what you mean by the more sensible inventroy management because I have no problem with it.  If your talking about the arrows then the new testing versions have fixed that and they should now stack like you would think that they would.

Alright here we go:

-Varied bosses at the end (e.g. Minotaur, Basilisk, etc..)

-Have a quick switch between weapons and a special key for activating scrolls for more fast combat.

-Less focus on staffs and more focus on swords and bows; perhaps making staffs due more random unreliable damage whilst making bows deal consistant damage.

-More varied dungeons.

-A scroll for taming a worm or bat as an ally OR a summoning scroll for a temporary ally.

-An expansive overworld: I mean like a open ended world or an island perhaps with randomly spawning dungeons and towns, wih forests that contain bandits. Make the focus dungeons, but make the over world be a good transistion phase, perhaps even making the forests more treacherous than the dungeons. The towns of course containing ways to improve your character, perhaps making upgraded equipment or preparing the player for a dungeon journey.

Thats just the tip of ideas I have.

Your ideas are nice as well. The only one I can say wont be making its way in the game is the varied bosses. There may someday be minibosses in the dungeon but as for the final boss the Lich is here to stay.

An idea from me:

Some sort of deposit for each wand to recharge wands. For example:

Right clicking a plant with an empty Missile wand will consume the plant and all nearby, and then give 2-5 charges back to the wand depending on number of plants.

Another example:

Right clicking a torch with a fire wand will make the torch go out and give 2-3 charges back to the wand, and right clicking lava with a wand will either consume the wand, or give back 3-4 charges if depleted. Wands can only be refueled once, consumed on second attempt.

Breaking wands:

You can break a wand in half to cause a small blast of lightning, flame, e.t.c, that deals twice the amount of damage the wand, fully charged before launching a projectile can do, doing the damage in a splash based attack, like some of the traps, but consuming the wand in the process.

I like your idea for an overworld, has some potential. Maybe there's one dungeon entrance, with a randomly generated dungeon, but with the artifact for the dungeon being brought back for a reward, like, say, a wand with 15 charges, repeatable daily with a different reward each time, but you can still enter the dungeon for loot. Four different areas, 3 availible immediately, and the last one leading to a final fight with the lich, with the orb. City ruins: Houses lots of goblins and the sewers for a dungeon. Hillside cave: Like the current cave floors, but with 3 floors, all random each time. Cultist catacombs: Catacombs below the town, relatively easy, populated with zombies, wizards, druids, and theives. Final shrine: Once all dungeons have been completed once, the shrine opens, with one floor, the lich, and the orb, similar to the current final floor.

Hello guys,

I just got delver, and don't know where to post some of the problems i accounted with, firstly i  have a mac computer, when i resize the game the top of the quickbar was cut off and i can't tel how many charges are left of my wands, secondly i have dual monitors and when i play and press f (to go fullscreen) my other monitor goes black, maybe you guys could fix this.

Thank you

Well the duel monitor is probably intended and the hotbar problem may have something to do with your GUI size. It can be toggled in the options on the main menu.
